On the 29th May one of our Alumni students from 2024 was honoured in a ceremony at NSW Parliament House for her outstanding Extension 2 English Major Work. Grace was one of nineteen students who were acknowledged for their Major Work in the Young Writers Showcase. This means that Grace’s work was amongst the top in the State. Her poetry, titled ‘Before the World is Green’ is now published in this year’s compilation of student work. This is an incredible honour and recognition for Grace’s talent and hard work. We look forward to hearing where this will take Grace and her passion for writing.
We congratulate Grace and also thank her teacher Mrs Bron Lobsey who supported, challenged and invested time and passion into Grace to help her achieve her best. We commend Mrs Lobsey on this achievement and thank her for an amazing year with our Extension English students last year, and to all the English faculty who have inspired Grace and other students in their passion for English throughout the years.
